Project Overview: We are looking for mid-level data tester to work on a transformation project for a fortune 500 US based telecom client. The tester will be responsible for verifying and validating data migration scripts meet specified requirements and will be involved in all phases of the solutions development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with onshore, offshore and other team members to understand the user stories and create the test plan with test cases. Develop and execute scripts to verify data. Collaborate with developers, perform retests and close defects. Track status of test case execution.
Technical Experience: Proficient in data testing, JIRA, defect management and performance testing.

Experience preferred:
- Extensive experience in writing complex SQL Queries and PL/SQL scripts.
- Experienced in preparing the Test Plans, Test Strategy documents, Test Cases & Test Scripts based on business requirements, rules, data mapping requirements and system specifications.
- Experience in Functional testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, Security testing, Smoke testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), Batch Testing, Interface testing, and Performance Testing.
- Ability to independently develop scalable and reusable processes of regression automation frameworks using SSIS and Query Surge tools.
- Experience in testing and writing complex SQL, T-SQL and PL/SQL statements to validate the database systems and for backend database testing.
- Experience working with REST API sources in SSIS
- Experience working with SOAP(XML) and REST(JSON) web services
- Experienced in Black Box, and White Box Testing of Database and Web applications.
- Excellent skills in overall Defect Management/Problem Solving, which includes reporting and tracking bugs
- Familiarity with on Batch scheduling tools Autosys, Control-M to run and monitor ETL jobs.
- Good interpersonal, communication, documentation and presentation skills.
- Should have a basic understanding of Azure/Cloud based knowledge
- Prior experience working in agile environments
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with clients, Business Analysts and Developers
